Moodle > Teacher > Analytics > Course Reports

Reports has been a feature in Moodle since beginning. All visit and actions cumulates log and these can be studied in detail through reports. The most important items under Reports menu are Logs and Live logs. With those it is possible to track every move a single students has made on the site or check what has happened on a course at some specific time.

In Logs, you can search almost any information from the study course with different search combinations. If you do not select anything for the search options, all the selections for that search criterion are selected by default (for example, if a student is not selected from the participant list, all students will be included in the search).

Many kind of filter combinations can be used while browsing the logs. For example:

Participant + Day => Get those Logs: procedures and activities a selected student has done on a selected day.

Day + Quiz activity => Get those logs: All the functions related to a selected Quiz that all the students has made on a selected day.

You can find the live logs section in the reports, under logs.

Live logs displays course action in real time and updates it at certain intervals. These can also be updated manually by refreshing the page (F5 key). Updates can also be stopped by pressing pause live updates.
