File resource is widely used in different file formats. One of the main use cases if exam materials. Please use only the kind of file formats students are able to open or with more special formats add instructions.
Turn on edit mode -> click Add an activity or resource -> select File from the resources tab.
Only mandatory field in the settings is Name.
If you wish to share multiple files Folder resource might be more suitable.
